The summer season has officially kicked off and the July 4th holiday is just around the corner.  As we prepare to enjoy another summer on our beautiful lakes, the Long Lake Association wants to encourage everyone to practice safe boating and also remind you that Long Lake Township recently passed a new Fireworks Ordinance that restricts the use of personal fireworks as follows:
No person shall ignite, discharge, or use consumer fireworks within Long Lake Township at any time, except the day preceding, the day of, and the day after a national holiday.  Violators will be responsible for a personal infraction and a fine of up to $500 per violation.
For more information on Ordinance 130 or how to report a violation, please visit the Long Lake Township website at or call the township offices at 231-946-2249.  Please be sure visitors and renters are also aware of this new ordinance.

Enjoy a fun, safe summer everyone!   We hope to see you at our Annual Discussion Meeting and Welcome Back to Paradise celebration at 5:00 PM on Monday, June 10th.
